I dont post here very much anymore, but I have been following this story since it started.
I am glad you are heeding SOME advice (about the calci sand and newspaper)but you are not really listening to the most important part, PLEASE LEAVE YOUR SNAKE ALONE!!!! for at least a week! If you cannot do this, please give the snake to someone else. I am not trying to be negative or mean, but you seriously need to listen to the VERY good advice being given to you. Everyone here is being pretty patient with you, but I recall a temper tantrum you threw, you told someone to "shut up", that is just not cool, we are trying to help you.
Now, do you really need all those pictures you were asking for? You don't need pics of all of our feeding boxes and setups, you need to do your own research, and I know that includes this forum, but I think you are abusing it. Go out, get Kathy Loves book, buy a BUNCH of corn snake books, look at websites! All you have to do is punch in corn snake in a search engin and you get TONS of sites.
To answer your question, to your snake the mouse smells like mouse. And snakes have been known to eat carrion in the wild. Of course, please do not use rotten mice, if it is fresh thawed from a reliable source you should not have a problem.
PLEASE leave the snake alone for seven days!
