Anyone have good/bad luck with ESU reptile products? I couldn't find much in the archives, but all I found at my local petshop was an ESU reptile UVB bulb hood and was wondering if this will provide enough uvb for my cham? Thanks.

Can't tell you if this bulb is good or not....but if its the one with the plastic over the light it needs to be removed. There should be no glass of plastic between the light and the chameleon.
I am using the ESU Reptile Mini Aqualight with 2 9 watt 7% UVB power compacts on a 5.5 gallon tank for my baby panther chameleon and it works great, but as kinyonga said you must remove the plastic bulb guard or else the plastic will filter out the UVB. It is my understanding that the only reason they included the plastic bulb guards was to ensure that the fixtures received a UL approval.
cheers~!
