Atlas511 Mar 20, 2007 11:25 AM

I introduced two males with to different females last night, ther are healthy proven breeders. One pair started to fight imeediatly and the other pair stayed calm. They were biting each other, any suggestions?

sounds like you might have mixed up your sexes. Two males will fight and two females will just chill out together. I would resex your snakes.

Anthill pythons mating

This pair has Produced eggs. The male is trying to breed her and the female shakes him off. He bites her side but she will not take. I was only asking if anyone had this biting happen. thank you for your help.

That's odd, I've never seen our breeding pair fight or bite one another... Not sure what's going on. Perhaps she's just not in the mood. Separate them and try again later? Shrug*

Sorry, didn't mean to insult your intelligence, but mix ups happen.

Anyway, Nope, never seen/heard of any of the childreni complex bite each other during courtship.

Your a little on the late side for introducing them though, these guys breed over the winter. The female might be past her receptive period.
