Yea they can be addicting I started out with some texas yellow bulls, then went to kingsville reds, then of course I seen these pink ones, then well gotta add a gopher to the mix so I got a klumper line san diego gopher. So yes really stay away from them, they very addicting....lol...I already want a pair of NJ northern pines, a female texas yellow and a female klumper line gopher for this year. Just have to figure out where I will put them.

KenCasstevens Mar 21, 2007 01:32 PM

How many chickens, and rabbits? Lets hear more about all those dogs. lol.
Ken

MichelleRogers Mar 21, 2007 01:42 PM

12 chickens, 10 rabbits, and my dogs are 3 old pit bulls that are fixed, 3 wire hair fox terriers that are also fixed. 2 strays that I have no idea where they came from but decided to stay, 1 neighbors dog that won't go home and the neighbors won't come and get him. Then my husband raises rat terriers he has 14 of them we live in the south so he hunts squirrel with them. Oh and 1 boston terrier.
Now tell us where was Bob for over a month.

KenCasstevens Mar 22, 2007 03:51 PM

ok. Bob (pictured here) went missing for about a month, or so. I couldn't understand how he got out because the latches were hooked up. I tore the house up for a month looking for him when one day I happened to look at his tank, and there he was sticking halfway out of the log that was in his tank. It had a small hole on the end that I would have never thought he would have fit through, and come to find out the whole log was hollow. He had been in there the whole time. I guess he had just come out at night, and stayed in the log during the day. When I went over there he shot back into the log, and wouldn't come out. I had to pour a little water down there to get him to move. Needless to say that log has since been retired. Talk about feeling stupid.
Ken

PS- You happy Michelle?

MichelleRogers Mar 22, 2007 04:25 PM

My favorite part was when you come home late that night after tying one on and said he got back in the tank....lol.....

Oh my goodness!! That's quite the zoo you have there. How do you manage to care for them all? I bet your house is fun place to visit!!
-----
©

MichelleRogers Mar 24, 2007 10:55 AM

Yes it can be quite the zoo,....lol...I have 4 kids and they help a lot everyone has a duty. So we all work together and of course my nieces and nephews are always begging to come over and help. It is not really bad though once you get used to it. The cleaning is probaly the most time consuming along with vaccines and just general maintance. Now it is a trip once a month when you have to heart worm the dogs. The snakes are the easiest part. The horses are the most fun.
