What age do you breed your females?

TwoSnakes Mar 20, 2007 03:17 PM

Hello
I have a one year old female thus to young to breed plus I dont have a male yet but I was planning on breeding at 2 years (I base this on the fact that my 2 yr old ruthven and 2 year old CA king seem ready).

Is 2 years still to young to breed a F thayeri (I imagine M thayeri I get will have to be 2 yrs plus) ?

Thank you

Age is probably not the determining factor. I'd say if they are near 200 grams or over and more than 25 inches they are probably ready to breed.
