20 gallon long sufficient for dwarf tegu?

C. Elmer Aug 12, 2003 05:01 PM

Just wondering if those who have them, think a 20 gallon long terrarium would be sufficient for a small dwarf tegu (he's just about 12" now, and a couple years old). I would certainly take care to block of portions of the side to help prevent nose bashing, but he's acutally calmed down quite a bit since I've had him. Just wondering what you thought,

I would go a larger, minimum of a 40 breeder or better yet a 55 gallon. These guys are pretty active and like to climb a bit, so bigger is better. Good luck!
