Thanks for the info you guys provided. Our WC uro is in a much larger enclosure of the proper size, has a nice hot basking site with a cooler gradient, and a pretty nice hidey that he can't destroy. He's beginning to eat well on a daily basis and it's a game to find out what he likes. Bird seed, black beans and dandelions seem to be a hit. Grapes are ignored, strawberry tops are hit and miss. Same with field greens (endive, escarole). We started off his new enclosure by completely covering the glass and then slowly uncovering bits at a time. He seems pretty content now and less hostile toward us. My daughter can pick him up now with out tail lashing and the hula dance display. She can even hold him for about 5-10 min at a time, but doesn't want to stress him out.
