Can anyone tell me a good alternative gutload than chicken mash for earthworms?

Finely chopped, dark, leafy greens...kale, collards, turnip greens, etc.

What type of worm are you dealing with? Some are more apt to eat in captivity than others.

Usally nightcrawlers, redworms, mealworms and waxworms but I want to try superworms silkworms and hornworms ( still got to do some research )

I do feed collards endive mustard greens and escarole and occasionally romaine..........along with fruits and vegetables.

As far as earthworms (from your original question), the Redworms will typically eat voraciously. You can even use them to compost your veggie kitchen scraps. You probably won't have much luck feeding the nightcrawlers.
