Ok, the previous post has helped rekindle my interest. When I was a kid I used to keep a lot of detailed field notes in and around the Angeles National Forest. Unfortunately I have long since lost my notes. It is thirty years later and I would like to get back into it. I am looking for ideas for my field kit. What types of equipment are my fellow field herpers utilizing these days? What types of information are you logging and what format ideas have you found useful. I would like a kit I can keep in my car and toss into a backpack when needed. I imagine my sling psychrometer and glass thermometer are outdated LOL.
