So two of the eggs look odd to me. this is my first clutch so i don't really know what to look for. All 5 have veins...the humid is 95% and the heat was 91degrees. i turned my thermostat down a bit too. can i get some opinions please.

looks a bit wet to me...that's maybe why there are wetness windows starting on some......?...but I cannot tell if I can't run my fingers through the vermic....

vermic should look dry enough.....and act dry enough when you run finger through it....yet hold together when pressed into a ball.......(yet fall apart easily).....

........probe should be inside the clutch down in the vermic where the eggs are.....not on top........

all my thoughts and opinions......

.........(to dry the vermic just add some more dry stuff to the top and mix it in a little........)........

Ill try that, the mixture feels moist but not wet. Ill add a bit more dry stuff and see if that help as well as moving the prob. thanks

Hard to tell from the photo.. could be the lighting... but the vermiculite looks maybe a tad too wet.

Also give the eggs a few days to fill out. sometimes they fill out fast and other times a bit slower.

I've had snake eggs that were full when laid and others that were partially to halfway deflated on being laid. Typically within a week, the fertile ones, with proper humidity, caught up to the other eggs and filled out nicely. Infertile ones never filled out.

i had a similar problem with my first clutch, they dimpled severly the first few days despite me adding humidity till it was so wet i killed them. (they were in an open container inside of a hovabator with the right humidity))

I find that keeping the eggs in as small a container possible helps with this problem, also you could try this along with submerging the eggs around halfway in the vermiculite.

Although i wish you the best, the eggs i lost resembled your's very closely (the dampish/opaque windows). Don't count them out yet though and good luck
