I don't know how to capture green with a camera, but that male of Ken's is so much better in person, he is a pale green that is just really out of this world. He is the prettiest but Bob (aka as Houdini) is the smartest thayeri i have ever seen, i just wish my escapees would climb back in their tanks....lol....

...I think I know that sort of pastel greenish-yellow color of Ken's Vermilya male too, and I agree it's very hard to share in a photo. I have that female of Dan's that is probably very close, if not the same. Stunning color to say the least and I remember earlier photos of Ken's male from a few years ago. He's always been a special one.
Back to Clever Bob.....
None of my escapees have ever been as clever as sneaky Bob either. One Thayeri male however did return to the scene, casually cruising around looking for things to do. I seriously doubt though, that he had the smarts to figure out how to unlatch the lid like Bob managed to do and get back in! I went ahead and did that for him.

just yellow green and stunning. I know when i go to Ken's that male just grabs my attention every time i go in the snake room.
And yes Bob is truly remarkable. I hope to one day have such a smart snake in my ranks....lol...
The smartest one i have is the mexican black female that came out the woods to me after being gone for months.
Well last week she broke out again and i was in panic looking everywhere when I noticed in my daughters 5 gal fish tank was a big black eel. So i guess she just needed a soak. I was very glad to get her back as i am pretty sure she is gettting ready to lay.

Geeeze Michelle, that girl is determined to do her own thing around there isn't she? Sounds like a pretty challenging and interesting critter to have around!

You know at first I really didn't want the pair they actually belonged to a local breeder who needed to get rid of them. So I tried to talk Ken into getting them and he wouldn't. So i folded and got the pair. I then let another friend keep them for a year and he let the male go and he was out around his house for about 6 mos. Once he found the male his significant other decieded they had to go so i got them back.
I am really glad I did, the female has kept me on my toes ever since and she is really a huge friendly black snake that you can't help but get attached to. They are just very interesting.
