if you want to use an 8 ft trough, but it doesn't seem like it would fit...

the galvanized troughs come to the dealer nested in groups of three. the outside trough is the biggest, the inside trough the smallest, so that it fits/nests inside the two others. works the same way for oblong troughs.

when you want the largest possible trough, make sure you get the outside one, maximize your footprint.

when you have fitting issues, make sure you go and measure the INSIDE trough, it is typically 6 inches narrower in diameter than the large ones. it will often fit.

Thanks for the info, could really make a difference in getting it through my bloody back door, as I was only like 3-4" off making it through when I measured (using exactly 8' diam x 2' height).
