Beautiful snakes but I am just wondering why sll salmons have that distinctivly darker black head?

Funny you would bring that up. I was looking at my S-Salmon today, she is in her dark phase, her head gets damned near charcoal. Other times its a light grey. Not sure why Salmons tend to do that... Just thought it was funny because I had been thinking about it.
