Somebody is selling some CB right now on Kingsnake.
I meant on the bigger scale, but thanks.
Did you find out something I missed? I surely hope you did. Is so what? Cheers
Rare earth yes - they are all spoken for before they've hatched. That's all i've found. Or were you talking about the origins of captives in US issue? That i haven't looked into. What become of that robert guy's in Florida if he sold them?
hahahahahahaha the only way to check on the original ones is to ask me. No, I was asking if you found more current breeders.
About rare earth, I heard they got out of them. Consider, the new owner has only been the owner for a short time. The original owner was Joe Lewis. The fella that became success at breeding them there was named Craig, I consulted for Joe, and it appeared Craig was the only on who had a handle on developing their techniques.
The new owner, I have talked to him, but only a couple of times.
So, you could not find anyone who is breeding them(actually breeding them) I hate saying that, but on the internet, most consider breeding them as having more then one. With hopes that something will happen.(sometimes it does) Cheers
Close, but his name was Greg. He was the manager of Rare Earth for a couple of years and really got it going. Then he left, there was a mish mash of folks for a while, then it was me. I just kept things the way Greg had done them, had good production. Then it was just Joe alone, I think he actually produced more then -- nobody around the lizards all day disturbing them. Then it was sold to Jason (I think) in Maryland. I've heard good things about him but really don't know any more. The only ones I've noticed in the classifieds lately have been all males.

An occasional adult male Kim isn't what i'm (or most) are looking for. It's another keeper's "culls" as some call it, or a pet of lost interest. I was kind of interested in finding a group of hatchlings and noticed over the last year or so - you are not seeing any. Perhaps they sell w/o needing to advertise to strangers on the internet? Breeder-wise, yes, i've only found that Rare Earth has some in the incubator every few months. All other US leads are bunk so far in my searches (old non-updated lists of varanids carried). I'm still looking around and have emails out to some folks. I hope there are more around than that solitary pair/trio.
So who runs Rare Earth now? Is it just a name, or is it a facility that has changed owners in Maryland? Jason Kaline's selling animals here on KS, but it doesn't have the name Rare Earth w/ the ad. I'm confused.
Hi Krusty,
I think Jason sold most everything off last year. I reckon he may still have a few pairs of glauerti and/or pilbarensis. I think he keeps them at his home. Guess we will just have to wait and see if he has hatchlings available in the future. Cheers
I got the story. Both Jason and the new Rare Earth owner (Brandon) were kind enough to write me back today. Jason is out of monitors and Brandon is working with 5 odatria from the same lines as before and his own prasinus and yellow ackies. This all transpired very recently.
Thanks guys (if you're reading this) for filling me in.
