Shipping Beardies

In light of what happened to BB's poor little dragon I have a question. We have never shipped a dragon before, we've always hand delivered them. How do all of you ship? What substrate is normally used? Any tips?

I figure since we've all seen the end results of a crappy shipping job (pun intended), we might as well learn a lesson!

"BB's" hehehe not sure I like that, my nephews used to call their "parts" their BB's LOL

Ok, shipping.....

Insulated boxes with shredded newspaper inside for padding. I only ship inside deli cups, others use bags.. deli cups are my personal prefrence. Inside the deli cup I place a folded moist paper towel and on top of that goes the dragon. You fit the deli cup nicely inside all the shredded newspaper and cover it with more shredded newspaper. Then you place the top piece of the insulated box on and seal the box flaps shut.

Oh, I also drill one hole on each end of the box.

taping the deli cup to the bottom of the styro is a good idea, that way the cup isnt moving about at all, duct tape works really well for that
