WC 118 alterna-finally!

brhaco Mar 23, 2007 06:28 PM

Well I know I've been promising to show this girl for almost 10 months now, but here she is! Found her on the first cut North of Elephant Mntn., about 30 miles south of Alpine. It was 2:30 am on May 25, 2006. She waqs on a ledge about ten feet up when I caught her coil in the light of my Stubby II-she'd just swallowed a good-sized crevice spiny. Now I have to find a male to go with her (I know very few alterna have been found in this area)!

Take care,
Brad Chambers

Thanks guys! You better believe I'll be spending some more time on those far south cuts this season in hopes of pairing her up. By the way the cuts in that area are not very good-looking. Volcanic with few fissures and lots of soil.....

Looks like she was more than worth the effort, very nice looking alterna. And since you started with the female, it should be easier to pair up the locality....

Good Job

That is awsome, I have yet to have a chance to hunt farther west to find something like that, but for now I have to stay east to try to pair up a couple females from 277 and juno.

Most of the alterna from the west don't really do much for me, but that one is gorgeous! That's a beauty.
