chuckwallas?

hi my water dragon has passed away because it choked on wax worms. i gues they were 2 bigfor it. i wantto get a new lizard less prone to RI and other things. and is easyto care for like my bearded dragons.

my qwestions are.
how big of eaters are chuckwallas
how nice are they
how big do they get
are they easy to care for like a bearded dragon
where can i find a site on them

ok now when i say easy to care for. i mean simpler thn lizards liek CWD basalisks etc. i no tht lizards are not easy to care for. so dont critisize me for saying this.

To answer your questions:

Chucks eat mostly salads - collard, mustard, & turnip greens, raw or thawed-frozen mixed veggies, dandelions, a little tofu, etc. Some love mealworms, but they don't require them and you shouldn't offer them frequently.

They're VERY nice. They have individual personalities. Some remain skittish, but most seem to become very tame and some seem to enjoy being around people.

They don't get very big. I consider them fairly small lizards.

Compared to dragons, depends if it's more trouble for you to acquire a constant supply of bugs or salad ingredients. I think bugs are harder to come by.

I recently saw 3 chucks for sale on the Kingsnake Classified list, under lizards. However, you may need a permit to buy them or keep them. You'd need to check that out.
