Morph Identification Question

kohr Mar 23, 2007 10:47 PM

I don't know much about Bearded Dragon Morphs and was wondering if someone could tell me what you would call one of my beardies. At least I don't think he is a normal.

Hi
yep i see some color in him .
but if you not know the parents then you not know exacly what he is.
could be the mother is a hypo x father is a sandfire red then he would be heterozigoot for hypo to.
so you never be shure if you not know the parents.

i would name him a standard orange,r sandfire red/orange .

The only way to know for sure what morph he is, is to ask the breeder you bought him from. If you bought from a petstore or just some individual who couldn't keep him anymore, then it is virtually impossible to determine what morph/genetics he has. He looks like anything from a red/sandfire or salmon. It will be a bit easier once he is finishing shedding and we can see the pure color, instead of it looking rather grayed out due to a coming shed.

Whatever it is, it is a nice looking dragon.

Also, there are not too many 'pure' lines of bearded dragons anymore, just about everything has been crossed out with everything out, so there are alot of 'mongrel' dragons out there. Still very pretty dragons but it just makes is harder to tell what it is. My dragon, is as follows:

Orange Hypo Pastal X Snow/super orange GG blood sandfire 100% Het Hypomelanistic

She looks like this:
