Can collard lizards be housed with leopard lizards?

Uh... No.

Although they are close cousins, they are hostile enemies toward each other. Attempts to house them together will result in vicious fighting and stress. I would love to be able to put them in the same tank but past experiences say otherwise.

Here's a photo of my collared lizard juvie with Alesha, a leopard lizard adult. Notice how stressed the collared is.

Santo is my first collared lizard.

I've only previously had experience with leopard lizards in the past but collared, just like leopards are just delighful but extremely curious and adventuresome. He is one of the last thoughts in my head before going to sleep.

Eve -

I hope to get Santo a lady friend as soon as the weather heats up in Northern Nevada. I was thinking of possibly getting him an Eastern collared since I just love the colors on the females and possibly a mixed hatchling down the road.

But I've been lurking the forums lately. Mostly looking at pictures of pretty collareds.

I have a pair of collards. I have had leopards before, and they were a lot of fun. I was considering getting some more.
