One eye bigger then other?

cee4 Mar 24, 2007 06:30 PM

I have a new leo and one of his eyes is bigger then the other. Is this a birth defect? Will this be something he can pass on if I breed him?
I also noticed that he tends to hit above or below the mealworms rather then hitting the worm.He eventually gets it right but it takes a few trys.

Yes abnormally sized eyes are considered a genetic defect, you should never use the leo to breed.

IMHO I would be very upset with the "breeder", who was more interested in money than producing quality animals. He/she should have culled that animal, not sold it.

Well isnt that typical though, I see alot of that even on the forums, money first, animal second.,.I actually traded them for a very nice 6ft normal female boa.I found out he turned around and sold her for quite a bit of cash.I wanted her to go to a good home not be passed around, she was a pet...So now I have a useless male, well not totally because I will keep him and he will be a pet not a breeder.Too bad cause he has very nice color. But he is getting friendly too and will take mealies from my fingers now..
