Keep temp(at one end only)with underneath heat source at 82-85 degrees. Do NOT guess at the temp.!!, this will not work. Use a readable thermometer on the substrate at warm end. The other(cool end) can be in upper 70s.....put a small "hide box" at each end so the snake can regulate it's own temp. and still feel hidden and secure. This is all VERY important to do! and will make all the difference!.....also, NEVER use cedar bedding!!, it contains oils that are dangerous to reptiles!. These things will make it comfortable and secure, and allow it to feed in a normal manner. If these things are followed to the letter, it will thrive, and do just fine..................................Doug
