hello,
i'm new to this site, couldn't find an alternative uses for geckos forum, so i'll just ask you all.i have a buddy that said leopard gecko tails work great for catfish bait and the tail grows back so one lizard can produce several pieces. i have used anoles for crappy and bass, great bait. but the tail is to small for catfish. so if you have used leopard tails or know of it working let me know before i spend money on worthless bait. thanking you in advance for your help.

yeah i don't think that's good for bait, but if you have cat's or dogs i hear their tales are good bait or how about a few of your fingers or toes. leos are pets jerkoff

Do you really think you could come on to a pet board and get a good response?
Seriously Im not a vegetarian and I own snakes that eat rats but I dont ever cause excessive pain or suffering to any animal. That is cruel and just plain bad karma.
Liver and catfood work just as good for catfish and if you cant catch them with regular bait your not a good fishermen so get another hobby..

yeah um i really hope that was just a bad joke. besides their tails take a long time to grow back and they keep getting progressivly smaller everytime, not to mention it puts the health of the gecko in bad shape and could die b4 it grows a new tail anyhow. if geckos dont receive the right nutrition when their tails are gone they can die. this is because that is where they store their nutrition similarly to the purpose of a camels hump. it is very cruel and i just dont see it working out anyhow or being cheap at all. dont forget you have to feed it to keep it alive. im sure you dont realize how complex it is. you must have anti-social personality disorder or something, lucky for you, you might grow out of it if your under 20ish.

this is a picture of a gecko who has lost his tail once and it is about 1/4 shorter then it was. if it were to come of again it would probably be half the size it is now. the other gecko has a tail that is original where as that is how the first geckos should be.

Ummmm, I believe you came to the wrong place for fish bait info, but if yer fishin' channel cats BIG (4-5 inch) shiners work well.

Way to stir up the masses, dill weed.

I really do help this was all a joke. That's borderline animal cruelty, and you could get into a lot of trouble for causing harm to your animals for personal gain.

It has to be a joke (albeit a very poor one), but that being said, what on earth would it take for you to see something as *actual* rather than borderline cruelty? You're pretty darn tolerant there!

This one is either a joker, or is looking to stir the pot, and this post should be treated as such.
Please, let's take the higher road, and not resort to name calling. Either ignore this post, or help him with his 'fishing bait'.

LOL, that's why I suggested shiners. I'm surprized the mods haven't pulled the whole string.

no i really wanted to know about fishing bait. demestication is the worst thing people can do to something. cause a being to be unable to survive on its own. i just want to fish(catch food).
