Arabesque or Ladder tail

EvoMorphs Mar 26, 2007 12:08 PM

This is one of to boas that I received from a guy who got them in a trade. He knew nothing about them. I though that she was just a circle back ladder tail but I have seen pictures of arabesques that look very similar to female. Besides breeding how can you tell? I also through in a picture of the other female boa. Sounds like people are leaning toward Guyana cross.
Thanks for looking.

arabesque's have very thin saddles. What you have there is a circleback (normal).

I also think that first one looks like a circleback laddertail. Most arabesques that I've seen have a lot of freckling on the sides and much thinner saddles. I have no idea what that second one is

Thinner saddles, side striping, speckling, and a different head pattern are all traits of Arabesques, none of which that boa exhibits.

could be an odd looking Col. but he looks like a cross to me. Do you know how it was produced. I'll agree with everyone else on the first one, but nice snake nonetheless. Best of luck, Trey
