Fun comparison...'06 and '07 Red Albino

mdc Mar 27, 2007 02:06 PM

These pics were each taken the day the babies were born. I was slightly disappointed with this years litter and they didn't seem quite as red. So today I started looking through some old pictures of last years litter and realized they didn't have all that much color right at birth. Now I'm thinking that this years litter might be better! I can't wait for them to shed so I can see their real colors.

Any thoughts about the two litters?

Not sure how valuable my opinion is but ...

When I look at the color of the two litters as a whole, not one individual, they both seem to have equal color intensity. I think you will end up with another great litter once their color beings to show up. Through my expereince I find that many of the very nice colored babies tend to end up looking great for a while but then become nothing specktacular as adults. I find the ones that look alright as babies and slowly appear better with growth tend to look the best as adults. Either way congratulations and good luck ... I am looking forward to the next few years when I finally can try my hand at breeding.

Matt:

Both litters look fantastic. Like I said before we can't wait to see them after their shed.

Last years dont look as red to me! The eyes on those animals from the 07 litter are awesome... I wonder what they'll look like as yearlings? Very nice stuff Matt. Dan
