One eye swollen

symposiumcuibono Mar 27, 2007 03:21 PM

I noticed my box's eye was nearly swollen shut when he came out from under his log this morning.

I let him soak in some water and its looking much better, but it is noticably more swollen than the other one. What is this? Did he get something in his eye?

Could be something in his eye, could be that your humidity in his enclosure is too low, could be he's starting to have a problem caused by lack of proper nutrition that can lead to infection.
No way to tell for sure from a computer but I'll tell ya the first thing I would do is make sure the humidity is high enough in the enclosure.
If that didn't cure it, then I'd look at diet & think about seeing a vet.
