Monitor Soil

redbeard92 Mar 27, 2007 08:20 PM

Has anyone used "Jungle Mix Lizard Litter" for their monitors? Its a "soil-ish" mix that is designed for tropical burrowing reptiles. I'm upsizing my enclosure and am looking to transition from cypress mulch to a soil mix for better burrowing.

Thanks,

Rob

Just use dirt mixed with sand its cheaper and better. You can get a big bag of top soil for $1.

what kind of monitor you got?? i don't care for junjle mix i use dirt right out my back yard or leaf beding or top soil and play sand mix you may spend a lot more money for the junjle mix, but i have seen it in pet stores
i never seen any of the breeders use it (but some may) i here bed-a-beast works just as well
good luck
