For those of you who remember Sora and I

FrostDragon Mar 27, 2007 09:48 PM

Whoever remember's Sora and I...well, I have an interesting story for you. To fill you in, 5 months ago Sora disappeared into a cabinet that I could not get him out of. He was only a baby, and I have not seen him since. This morning, I found him. He was sitting on my stairs, watching me. I could tell by his color that he was trying to shed-there were already pieces of skin that were peeling off. At first I thought I saw him move, but my heart sank when I thought the worst. Could he be dead? 164 days of no food or water, and he was only a baby! Then, a miracle happened. Sora moved without difficulty, not fast and speedily, but not slowly either. I picked him up and he was cold. How could he have survived so long without food or water for 5 months? Is it even possible? He did, and there was no way he could get food or water at all. The cabinet was a dark, small little hole on the third story of the house. No water nearby, and defidently, no crickets. I had to ask my Mom to go to the Petstore miles away to buy crickets for him.

Now Sora seems fine, he moves fine and he's sleeping peacfully as I am typing. I have noticed that he has grown a little bigger, but not as big as he should be now. He's about 9 months old maybe at my guess-perhaps older. His color's a little faded, but that's because he hasn't eaten in so long. His tail is sucked up dry, but at the rate I'm feeding him and he's eating he will soon grow to a healthy size.

My only worries are if he got a bone disease of some sort from being in a cold environment during the winter. (He was lost from October 15th 2006 to March 27th 2007.) I'm pretty sure that everything will be alright again, but if you think anything might go wrong or what you think of the story, you can either reply here or e-mail me at yourworst9tmare@aol.com

thank you all for your time and I hope everything is right with you!

That is great that you found him. You might want to think about a checkup to the vet then if you think it might have a disease and since hes been missing for so long. This will just assure you that he is completely fine or there is something wrong with him, just to be on the safe side. Totally up to you though on what you decide.
