I’ll pose the question again…. just trying to get more opinions. Do people often loan out female morphs or just normal females?

Sorry, but I didn't follow the previous thread. I can't imagine why anyone would ever loan out a female morph. Why would they? I guess I could see someone loaning out a few normal females to someone with a special male. I think its far more common for people to loan out a morph male, with someone who has several females ready for him. I think the typical situation is the person who owns the female hosts the pair during breeding and then cares for ma and the eggies afterward...
I've done a few breeder loans, but only with people I really trust. Breeder loans are based on trust and benefit to each party.
"I can't imagine why anyone would ever loan out a female morph."
Sorry, but it does happen on occassion. Of course it's once again a matter of trust and benefit to each party. For example... I've had someone send me their female morph to breed to my male morph to get a special cross. My female morphs were not ready. The other breeder had a extra female. It successfully worked for both of us.

Not really. Think about it...If I send you my male morph to breed your two females... I can't breed him to my females and I can't control the number of females you actually breed him to. If you send me two females... I can.
Again... breeder loans are based on trust and benefit to each party.

I think it would depend entirely on which morphs you are talking about and of course your level of trust in the person you are doing the loan with and the benefits to both parties.
For Example:
I wouldn't be opposed to sending out an adult morph female to someone like say Tom Baker to breed to his Pastel Crystal (hint hint Tom - LOL - Just kidding- can you just imagine how insane pastel crystal spiders are going to be) - but I wouldn't send one out to just anyone to breed to just any snake.

They do not work. One person will feel cheated almost all of the time. How do you know what is produced from your animal at somebody else's facility? What do you do if they tell you the animal died or if their animal died at your house? What happens when you both people want the most desirable thing produced?
In theory the split is always 50/50 and the details would all be on paper, signed and witnessed if you are both smart, but I am telling you, I know MANY people including myself who have done breeder loans over the years and I do not know anyone who was happy when it was over.
