Giant Green Day Gecko Skin

beuz Aug 12, 2003 11:34 PM

Hello,

I have three babies Madagascar geckos, about one month old. One of them, the female I guess since it doesnt grow as fast as the 2 others one, pealed about a week and a half ago and still didnt get rid of the skin, but on the head. So the whole body is covered by this dry white/grey dead skin (except the head).

Is that dangerous for the gecko and what can I do if I can do something

Thank you

Beuz

Mist her directly and if you have some sort of fogger make sure she gets some of that. You can rip her skin if you grab her so unless shes totaly cool with you I wouldnt advise you taking the skin off yourself. She should peel it off herself on her own using her head but if its not coming off (low humidity) then she cannot do that.

give her a rough piece of wood, or rock to shed on, aswell as misting her more
