Runt the Corn Snake.................

APLAXAR Mar 29, 2007 10:27 AM

Hey All, i dont know if any of you remember but a while back i put a post up about one of my corns that hatched half the size of all the others, well we force fed him for two months till he decided to eat on his own, we knew that it would be irresponsible to sell him, se we kept him as a pet, well now he cant get enough food, so i thought i would share a picture of him

Good deal!!....I'm glad to hear that,..I won't ever sell non-feeders either!, the way I look at it is, why choose to make animals, just to let them go off and be sold to starve to death in someone elses care....UNLESS the buyer is fully aware of this, and is "seasoned" enough, and confident enough that he/she will eventually be able to get it to feed on it's own.
I just now recently had to do all that with a Honduran(of all things) that wouldn't eat(pretty uncommon). Now, after force-feeding egg yolk, he then accepted anoles,....then "scented pinks", and just last week ate his very first unscented fuzzy all on his own!
He even grabbed it out of my hand!.......that always makes me feel good when they can move on and feed normally like all the others!.....he's doin' great now!
