Funny situation

Dakman Aug 13, 2003 12:16 AM

Im sitting here at my pc with my studman Leo on my shoulders like usual. My Juvie Tokay tank is directly to my right about 5 ft away. My adult tank right next to it. i looked towards the tokays and theres one of my 4 month olds on the ground at the front of the tank watching my Leo crawl around on me. If Donald went down toward my leg the Tokays head followed and back up. i observed this for about 5 min. the Tokay never moved except his head to follow Donald. i held out my arm and Donald crawed out right onto the cabinet holding the tank. he then began to go back and forth looking for some place to go. he never once saw the tokay inches from him on the other side of the glass. the Tokay never made any aggressive move just follwed Donald with his eyes. Donalds put away but the Tokay baby is still sitting there waiting for his turn out. I hold this one all the time. i got a kick out of it, got a good pic if any one wants to see.

No bashing please, I dont do this regularly but had to see how this Tokay would behave. The Leo never even seen him and was only on the ledge for a min. No aggression just a look of curiosity on the Tokays part. This is my tamest Tokay and after putting Donald away was able to take him out by just reaching in and scooping it up. no barking, running or nothing. Of course i washed hands first.

Thats just too cool!!! Two things, what do you mean when you said "barking"? do Tokays bark? and do you have a full pic of the setup of that tank? It looks cool from what i can see

Thanks
Red

Tokays when threatened make a noise that is very simular to a bark which usually is followed by a lunge and attempt to bite whatever is threatening it. If u go to Photo Gallery, work youre way to Geckos, you can look up Dakmans Geckos on the search option or find a pic of mine click on it and then click on See all of Dakmans Photos, this will take you to my personal gallery which can veiw some of my pics
