I usualy flick the male in the side to simulate combat or throw another male in there for some real combat when female is introduced. Seems to do the trick.

I usualy flick them a few times mid body and sometimes on the totop of the head, weird but I have bred everything I have tried to.

Well, it will many times work either way, but I usually put the male in with the female, so he can "catch a whiff" of all the pheromone scent in her cage. And sometimes I'll also leave her post-brumation shed in the cage for some extra scent.
Also, in nature it's usually the male that prowls and finds the female, that's why the vast majority of snakes found in the wild during spring, are males. So I just usually go right on with that "theme".

Thanks!,.....glad you like him.

Those were some of the earliest species I had as a kid too, I remember walking home with a huge 7 footer I just bought from a kid around the corner when I was about 10 or so(1970). this thing was a real "handful" for me back then!,...anyway this thing latched onto my neck as I was walking home, and I gotta' tell ya, it hurt a bit!LOL
I had some awesome indigos, brooksi,Miami corns,Yellow rats, Scarlet Kings, Banded Watersnakes, etc....from about age 7 on
Those were great times!

best regards, ~Doug
