WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH THESE "RED/INFARED HEAT LIGHTS"???

Hey guys... whats the deal on these things? I mean I know they work effectively, (duh...)but can the reptile realy not see the light? And if so, why? Thanks alot guys...

these bulbs produce heat but no visible light. Just like humans most reptiles cannot see in this spectrum of light. I am not sure how they proved reptiles can't see this colour light but I really have no way to disprove it.
