Best Take Downs

zefdin Mar 30, 2007 10:35 PM

I love this girl.

She always hits the rats HARD!! She also always gets them at a great angle, facing their head..never grabbing them from the back where they can turn and bite her...

Afterwards, she immediately knows where the rats head is to begin eating. I hate the ones that fumble around, or try to eat them tail first...

She is a rat killing machine!!!

Haha, my big female is like that. Except, if they're alive, she hits them in a way that they SCREAM. And scream and scream and scream. She's great at hitting em and killin em but man she's a sadistic girl. I prekill her food now, lol.

Awesome snake!

you wussy Jenny- My carpet eats mice tails first everytime- shes even eaten a mouse while it was still alive- I didnt want to reach in there and pull it out while she was swallowing it- It was almost dead but still squeaking-pretty messed up- and no I dont agree with it- I just thought it would cause more damage pulling it out- but she was fine- no worries

I wouldn't feel bad except I know I could give the rat a choice between a slow death or a quick one. I know I'd pick the quick death.
Breaking rat necks quickly is not a wussy thing to do :P

method is definately NOT for the squeamish.

Actually, truth be told, I really have trouble doing it myself.

However,it is probably the least painful way to check out for the rat.

The tail whip/neck snap method works well also, but is not great for the rat if you partially miss...yicks.

The CO2 method where their little lungs collapse and they suffocate on their own mucus insnt great either.

Thats why I do it like nature intended...snake kills rat & rat has fair chance to chew snakes eyes out.

Why do I get a warm fuzzy feeling in side from this thread?

I hate when animals suffer and I find NO amusement in it at all.

yeah i dont either but i still love when my balls eat one.

zefdin Apr 01, 2007 07:35 AM

While I would never advocate deliberately hurting any animal, this does not mean I still dont love to watch snake take out rat.

I like watching the lions and crocodiles kill and eat gazelles on Animal Planet...call me sadistic.

Also, if people think taking CO2 and drawing all the fresh air out of the little rats lungs till the lungs collapse and the rat dies rats is any less sadistic or cruel, they are only fooling themselves.

RoyalVariations Apr 01, 2007 08:54 AM

The sadistic part is watching or photographing such events without respect or compassion for an animal’s obvious pain and terror as they die.

They have not fooled me!

Do you think that Animal Planet, or National Geographics are incorrect then to photograph and televise the lions and crocodiles while they rip the gazelle to shreds?

Are the people who watch these shows sadistic and wrong for doing so? I dont think so personally.

Also,if these events shouldnt be glorified by photographing them, maybe we shouldnt write about such things either. Who become the arbiter of whats allowed? PITA maybe? I think not.

Enjoy what you like.

-incorrect? NO, the point is that I don’t enjoy watching it. Like anyone else I can turn to another channel if it bothers or upsets me. I am a realist and I do know and understand how animals feed and what they consider food based on their specific species. I also do not think that your photo is the same as the tv shows you mentioned.

Are the people who watch these shows sadistic and wrong for doing so? I dont think so personally.

-Anyone that ENJOYS or finds GRATIFICATION from watching an animal being as you put it "ripped to shreds" is sadistic.

Also,if these events shouldnt be glorified by photographing them, maybe we shouldnt write about such things either. Who become the arbiter of whats allowed? PITA maybe? I think not.

-Glorified? How can you compare writing about a topic based on animal behavior and looking at graphic photos of animals being killed? You think that they are the same? Here is the deal, I hate cruelty, period. Our versions of what cruelty is or is not might be different. All of the people on this forum that have Royal Pythons are probably very aware of how they kill rodents and how they eat them. I just don’t like to exploit the details of an animal dying as if it is fun or entertaining. You on the other hand might not agree with my thoughts on this subject which is up to you. PITA? where? when? me? You’re stretching on that one.

Sorry to break it to you Kyle, but this web site is about snakes - that eat rats. I find it fascinating how this girl is more adept than others at taking out rats. Her hunting skills impress me scientifically. Sorry if this offends your snake love-in. Animal Planet comes on at 10pm - be ready to hide under your bed, lest you be offeded.
