I've read the excellent article here at Kingsnake on breeding colubrid snakes. My first pair of Brooks hooked up for the first time on March 16th, and a couple of times after that-a few days apart-until she just curled up in a ball and/or darted away under the substrate. According to the article, it takes apprx. 28-45 days after mating to lay eggs, depending of course on the species and temps. But I'm curious as to when, in everyones own experience, Brooks kings lay eggs after copulation, assuming the average temps are 85-90 on the warm side and 75-80 on the cool side.
