Genetics question

FelanMoira Apr 01, 2007 10:29 PM

Okay ... I'm debating purchasing a blazing blizzard girl, as I have 2 normal males.

My understanding is that a blazing blizzard is a double recessive - albino and patternless, correct?

So if my male (whichever one I would breed her with) is a full normal, not het for either, then I would get double hets?

If my male is het for albino, then I might get double hets and albinos?

If my male is het for patternless, then I might get double hets and patternless?

If my male would unlikelihood of it all would be double het, then I might get double hets, patternless, albinos or blazing blizzards?

Already looking at the possibility of having to breed second generation to get any chance of something that is not phenotype normal looking.

Just replace patternless with blizzard and you'll be right on. Blazing blizzards are albino blizzards, not albino patternless.
