Size/Age of female for breeding

mike17l Apr 02, 2007 09:55 AM

I have two females that would most likely breed for me this year, but seem a little on the small side.
One is an 03 aniaml and is right at 145 grams (was sold as a slow starter), the other is an 04 (was sold as a non eater, but I turned her around quick) and right at 155 grams. Both were brumated and both at pieces of spiney lizards right before and right after brumation. Should I allow either to breed this year, or wait another season for them?

Also, I have a WC female from Juno rd, when I cought her Gerald Merker thought she was actually gravid at the time (just from looks, as she had just eaten) I thought she was small, she is now only 100 grams. I do not plan to breed her this year, I want to find her a male and breed her next year, but would you breed her? Do you think an animal this size would likely breed in the wilds of Val Verde County?
