eating after shed?

cfresh79 Apr 02, 2007 12:53 PM

Rex just had his first shed since we got him. It was perfect almost one whole piece. My question he has not eaten in 2 weeks so I figured he would be hungry. When I tried to feed him this am, he ran from the food and kept climbing out of his feed box. Should I wait a little longer? If so how long? thanks, he really looks good post shed I am going to try to post some pics.

I suggest trying to feed him in the evening, not the morning. Ball pythons hunt mostly at night, unless by 'am' you mean something like 1am. If you meant night time, give him a couple more days, try again at night, just close him up in his feeding bin and leave him alone for awhile (if fresh killed/frozen thawed prey)
