as most of you know i was adopting a 3 yr. old green ig monday night... i thought i would tell you guys the details of that night....
we got at their house around 7:30 and went in. he was in their daughters room in an aquarium 36"long by 18" deep by 16in high. i put on my sweatshirt and leather gloves, reached in and picked the ig up behind his neck and the base of his tail. they said they didnt hold him for over a year becuase they were afraid of him so i didnt want to take any chances.he didnt likke being held like that and was so strong i couldnt hold him like that so i ot him to relax and he just layed on my arm as i petted him. then he climbed on my shoulders and then onto my head! he was the sweetest thing!! they were all amazed at how well i did with him so as i asked him about what they were feeding him and told them a little about myself, like the other herps i have, i just let him lay in my arms with his head against my cheast.they said they will be amazed to see how well he is adapted in a few months and they are probably going to come to my house to visit him. so we carried the tank to the van and i carried the ig(they named him iggy....how original) out to the van and put him in the tank. when we got home it was about 8:30 and was pretty dark. i wwent to the back of the van, got iggy out, then i saw my moms boyfriend, brian, so i walked over to him and said, "hey brian! look how sweet he is!" right as i said that iggy threw his head up and grabed a hold of my chin. i got my mom to come out and get him becuase i had blood running all over me. i went inside the house and i caught a glimpse in a mirror and just stopped walking. there was blood running down my face, you couldnt see anything on my face from my bottom lip down. anyway, my mom came in and i put iggy in his new cage quikly and then i went to the bathroom to clean my face up. it took 3 wash cloths toget the initial blood off. and then it kept bleeding. that was the worst pain i had ever felt before. i am going to be much more careful in trying to avoid being bitten. its been 2 days since the bite and i have been putting neosporin on it but it still hurts like... well theres no need for profanity so i will let u guys fill in the blank...
since then he got very aggresive but i didnt have to work yesterday so i spent the whole day with him and now he is back to his sweety self!
sorry for such the long post but i had to share with you guys!

I put Neosporin on all my scratches- I love the Neosporin that's a white cream and has pain relief in it. It really seems to help, and I use it on Bud when he has scrapes, too. Seems to help with the pain for him, too.
