Gonyosoma janseni + 2 off topic pictures

chris_harper2 Apr 02, 2007 02:11 PM

Two pictures of my Celebes Gonyosoma janseni. Different specimens, my third is in shed.

And a picture of our puppy Voi. He's 9 months old and already 100 pounds.

And this is why the breed is known as the Rhodesian Ridgeback.

Cute little youngster!!

Also, my mom bred certain show quality breeds until she passed away last year, and finished an uncountable number of Champions in her day(47 years of breeding).

* CH."DasTropen Snowy Owl"...."Top Standard Schnauzer in Country"(circa 1970)

* Had many champion offspring from CH."Whilheen's Whinnie of Way-Hi" (Winningest Dauchshund of all time in the World)

....etc, etc,....just to name two!,....anyway, she probably knew where your Rhodesian bloodline originated from way back then!, as they are very uncommon, and not many people have ever heard of them!....I knew the lady that was one of the few breeders of those back in the late 1960's.(I was just a kid)
Anyway, thought you might find that interesting.
nice Ratsnake,.....and dog!

best regards,....................Doug

I REALLY like the color and side banding on those. Randy

Thanks Randy. As soon as my third specimen sheds out I'll have my wife snap some pictures of that one as well. It is the lightest of the three.

These are the most unique G. janseni that I have seen, although they are still small so anything can happen.
