New Rat Rack

Wade Apr 02, 2007 05:13 PM

I am getting ready to build a new rat rack. All of my racks in the past, both reptile and rodent, have been designed around rubbermaid tubs. #^*((#@^%& rubbermaid!!

I am now looking at the Iris CB 30. I don't have a local source so I have only seen pictures on the internet. They look cheap compaired to the old rubbermaid.

What do you all think? Any suggestions? What is a good source for tubs in quanity.

Wade,

First, I can get the rubbermaid pictured locally at Menards. Is there a Menards within driving distance for you?

Regardless, you can probably see a Iris CB box of some sort at Office Max or Office Depot. I don't know about the CB-30 specifically, but the rest of their boxes are very well made.

Thanks Chris, I must live on a different planet (Utah) but we don't have Menards, and in my small town we don't have Office Max or Depot. We do have a Staples Office Supply but they don't have much to look at.

I will order the tubs over the internet as soon as I find a good source. I have seen prices that range from $10 to $28. I was mostly looking for opinions on the quality of the tubs. Are they as durrable as Rubbermaid? Are they better than sterilite?

Thanks for your imput

I much prefer Iris tubs over Rubbermaid and/sterilite and I have a rubbermaid that I bought in 1987 and still use.

And yes, Iris tubs are more durable, although again I have not used a CB-30.
