Oily substance in cage???

Boogman Apr 02, 2007 07:41 PM

Today I went to clean all of my boa cages and found that one of them had an oily substance in it. The paper I use to line the cage was damp with it and there was a small dolup of urates with-in the oil slick. I have never seen this before and have no idea what it is. I am housing a female in this cage, if it makes a difference.
Thanks for any help.
Scott

I have had that happen when I feed xbreeder mice. It seems some snakes can't digest all the fat. Never had it happen with rats or smaller mice.
