You know, I saw that mentioned at a breeders site as well. I don't remember where now. But since reading it, I've noticed crested geckos at many other sites that have enlarged "horns" at the outer corners of their head crests. But nobody else seems to make note of it. If you want my opinion, I think it's a trait that someone is using as a marketing ploy to pump up the value of their geckos.
A large head crest also known as "crowning" on a crested gecko is a desirable trait, and in my opinion does increase the value of a crested gecko. They are a structural trait that should be promoted. Anthony Caponetto and Allen Repashy are just a couple of well known breeders that breed for this trait. With the wide crest comes the "horns". But the horns alone are just not a big deal as far as I'm concerned.
