Fancy Mice

bimbo1700 Apr 02, 2007 11:22 PM

I'm interested in breeding a few feeders for my leopard gecko females that a breeding and need the fat. I want some fancy mice so that the un used offspring will be easier to see off. Does anyone know a breeder?

Sorry , but "easier to see off"? what do you mean by that?

Easier to sell off?

Or do you mean easier to kill off?

Sorry I meant sell off.

Ok, sell off... Do you actually have a market for them? A store that buys them from you? If so you are lucky.

I never found any kind of market for my mice when I was breeding them, they all ended up euthanized and vacuum frozen for future snake meals.

I imagine the same for the African soft furred rats I currently breed for feeders.

My local pet shop was interested in trying some and if they sold the manager told me he'd be interested in doing future business.

Wow, here we can't get enough mice. At a NJ wholesaler the mice run us 75 cents each. Buying local we offer 50-60 cents each, save money and save a stinky 4 hour drive with a couple hundred mice. we almost never turn away a mouse seller.
Right now I sell extras to the store and so do two other regulars. We go through 100-200 mice a week easy.
