New Tigers

BillyBoy Apr 03, 2007 06:24 AM

Here is the new pair I picked up a little over a week ago. Although they both refused f/t mice, small rats and chicks last week, they each sucked down a live rat crawler yesterday. They are in 36" long tubs right now for their quarantine/settle in period, but after a few good meals/defecations, I have a nice 6' long display cage they will go into together.

That's exactly what I'm hoping for Bill! Get them to put on a little more size and hopefully produce some little ones next season.

Very nice pair you picked up. Best of luck with them. Is the banded one the girl? One of my girls is the only banded out of the small group I had to chose from and that was the reason I chose her.

Thanks! Yes the girl is the banded one with more yellow on her head. The pics are deceiving because the male has some decent banding as well, just not as clean as the female. They both have those long, inky black tails too. She's also fairly handleable already while the male is still very flighty, though neither has tried to bite yet or even give a good neck display. Can't wait to get a few good meals in them so they shed off that jungle skin and show off their colors a bit more.
