I was wondering if anyone has ever tried feeding frogs to their ball pythons? I know a lot of frogs have certain toxins in their skin, but i've seen local snakes (ny) eating bull frogs before so i was curious if it would be safe. Let me know what you think. Thanks

I definitely would not try it with wild caught frogs. As long as the frog was a non-toxic species I can't think of anything bad that could happen but I don't really see the point of trying it. Rat's and mice are closer to what they eat in the wild and are readily available.

Ball pythons are basically rodent eaters, reads rats, mice, gerbils, moles or rabbits(warm blooded). I've tried birds because they are warm blooded, with no luck, but not amphibians. Bull frogs are not toxic so if you want to try have at it, just DON'T USE toads. Most likely he'll just ignore or try to get away from them. Good luck.

they love frogs ....especially the pickerel frogs.....makes them see funny things before they croak.......American toads are cool too but it makes them make weird faces due to being very bitter tasting.....especially when they pee in the snakes mouth.....
