In bearded dragons if anyhting gets bitten off , it is off for good. No regeneration in dragons. Except for a little skin here and there.

The bad news is that if there's no claw (nail) on them they were probably nipped by another dragon as a baby and won't grow back.

The good news is that the dragon will be fine without them. I have one missing 7. All 5 on one back foot. 2 on the other back foot. She's fine and happy without them.

well that covers my next post about them harming the dragon. He seems very content. Thanks all.

Mine had all its claws and I had her out this week and my sis says "what happened to her toe?" I look and now she's missing a claw, can't figure out how since she's all by herself, hopefully it won't happen again.

She may have gotten it caught on something. But, the bottom line it is most likely a symptom of Metabolic Bone Disease (A shortage of calcium) and should be addressed.

Are you supplementing with calcium and Vitamin D3? If so what kind?

What kind of UVB do you have?

What are you feeding?

It is important that if it's MBD you address it right away!

Start a new thread thread so your info is at the top and people notice it.

I assumed she got it caught on soething, I do supplement with calcium, she's got a new uv light and I try to get her in natural sun a few days a week.
I didn't know that was a symptom of mbd, she's in a reptarium, so I thought maybe she got a claw stuck in the fabric... Maybe I will stick in the other uv light in addition to the one I have.

You said UV. Needs to be a UVB. Like the Zoo Med Reptisun 5.0 or 10.0 depending on the distance. Also watch for oxilates in the greens and veg. you feed. Here's a good link.

Thats whats installed, I have two fluorescent lights but only one is the reptisun 5.0, I was thinking maybe I should put a reptisun in both.

Putting 2 in is not necessary. A reptisun 5.0 is good to 12" from the bulb. A reptisun 10.0 is good to 20" or should be used if the light has to pass through a fine screen. There should be no glass, plexiglass, or bulb cover between the dragon and the bulb.

I didn't mention this earlier. But last year I took care of a baby dragon that belonged to a marine that was sent to Iraq. On May 14th, before leaving, he gave the dragon to his girlfriend. She brought the dragon directly to me and asked me to care for her until she moved into a new apartment. The dragon had all her toes. July 4th the girl took her dragon back. Seven weeks later she returned the dragon to me. When I got her back she was missing 7 toes. 5 on one back foot and 2 on the other. I still have her, she is mine now and has never lost another.

I had given written care instructions and all supplies with the dragon on July 4th.
