Milk-a-thon - Facilities

Nathan Wells Apr 03, 2007 09:36 PM

Since the milk-a-thon is going very well and many are contributing, let's show off some pictures of how you house your animals.
Posted here and below are a few pictures of the racks I am currently using. As many know, I work with nearly 15 different North and Latin American triangulum and locality L.alterna. I have nearly 175 snakes housed in these racks and although they have served their purpose well for many years, my plan is to eventually go with plastic racks in the near future.
My wife and I just built a new home, moving in less than a year ago. This particular room is heated with daytime highs in the low 80's and allowed to drop a little at night, into the high 70's. Although we don't experience much of a winter being here in east Texas, I am still able to control hibernating temperatures fairly well using the air conditioner. Thanks for looking and let's keep it going!

Very nice Nathan. Looks like a great facility. Here is a picture of my snake room. If you want to go with plastic racks, you should consider Animal Plastics racks. I have a few and think they're great!

With that many snakes you must have quite a few racks hiding in other parts of the room. I just got some racks from reptilebasics and really like them.

Best,
Vinny
