Gambelia? (I am new to the forum)

A local shop has a pair of leopard lizards that I would like to get. I can't find any information on their care. Any information on temp., humidity, substrate, food, breeding, etc. will be of great help. This petshop has a bad habbit of letting its reptiles die, I don't what that to happen, but without proper care they are just as likely to pesrish if I took them home. Thank you.

...on them. My sister just got one and I had to find info on them for her. I used google.com and typed in leopard gecko care. There is quite a bit of info sheets out there, and you can go to the leopard gecko forum and ask there. They would be a lot more help.

Good luck, pet store people can be a little hard headed.

They are leopard lizards (Gambelia wislizenii)or one of the subspecies, not a leopard gecko (Eublepharis macularius).

He has a pair, and has been doing extremely well with them. You can also find some great help on the chuckwalla forum. A few people over there can give you plenty of advice too. IN all honesty though, I think all conditions and requirements will be identical to collareds...they are very similar in everyhing that I can think of.

In a nutshell...

100-105 basking site
sand substrate
UVB light supplementation
supplement foods with calcium and vitamims
plenty of floor space...minimun 30 long

food...will eat crickets, superworms, pinkies, and other lizards with a smile on their face.

I missed that "minor" detail. Sorry...I just have leopard geckos on my mind. Maybe that's a subliminal message telling me I need to get one. Who knows!?! Sorry for my mistake.
