I've used it in the past, with little success, but I'm sold on Provent a mite now on.

Never used the deflea but the mite formula worked fairly well. I like it because it is all natural. However, I must agree, Provent-a-Mite is soem real good stuff. But I hear thet it has the same contents as Nix Lice spray or shampoo, however it comes.

Lead us not into temptation. We can find it on our own.

Reptile relief isn't as great as provent a mite when it comes to taking care of a mite problem, but I haven't had any issues with it. When I worked at a petstore it was used pretty regularly on snakes that had mites and they never had any ill effects from it. Just make sure you follow the directions exactly and you should be fine

I have been using those bird protectors that you put in a bird cage ,you know those round disc things . For over 25 years and I have never had a single mite and have never had a reptile get sick or any thing else from using them every reptile Vet I have ask about them said they are fine to use for reptiles . Thanks David of DS Reptile Rescue

I like using the RR in conjunction with the PAM (prevent-a-mite). Because of the way the RR works by eating away at the exoskeleton it will give the snake some immediate comfort by killing the mites on the snake (PAM does not do this you have to wait until the mites drop off the animal for them to die). The draw back is that you do have to literally soak the snake in the RR - leave it for a few minutes and then go back and rinse it off (I usually do this process a couple of times) - once the stuff drys it's no longer effective. You can use the RR to do an initial cage cleaning - again you need to soak down the cage with the stuff and then rinse it out and again once it's dry it's not affective - this is where the PAM comes in handy - anything that escaped the RR should get killed over the next few days with the PAM.

Hope this helps!

Pam is great. Follow the directions and make sure you vent out the tub before you re-introduce the animal. The concentrated vapors are the real killer I believe.
